The idea behind this mosaic was to only use man-made materials (glass, ceramic and metal) within the rising wave of oyster shells and ostrich eggshell, and only natural stuff outside (in this case, marble and desert roses)
This mosaic will be exhibited at the DuPont Gallery at the University of Mary Washington as part of an international invitational mosaic exhibit from October 17th to December 7th
